Met Allyson, Ivy, and Aaron (sp?); fun group. Went in to read for Dino but they asked I read for the hit man straight away… and here I thought I was dressed all dashing and debonair (or apparently not :-). HM would likely be fun character to play, though, ‘cause he’s both Wall St on the outside but dark on the inside. Shoot tentatively sched for Sun so will likely know by Fri.

Great shoot last night; meaning it was kinda effortless being intense/threatening– I’m liking these kind of dual roles, who knew?– and went more or less on schedule. Not sure what their framing/cropping was because at times they seemed more focused on my physical (arms swinging hammer, etc), so it’ll be interesting to see how much intent and expression they capture (or not, but hoping they got some). Also met hammer girl & guy cast, Joe O’Dell (originally from FL, good physical faller and really easy to work with/generous actor; also into self-production) and Katie McConaghy (Canada, killer screamer). Didn’t get all the crew names but will ask Lauren (prd) and update. 2nd shoot tonight for massage place.

BTW on the duality in roles, like this “charming by day, threatening by night” Donald character– reminds me of the excellent Sandy Shurin class (thanks Leah) where she has students first outline different personality aspects of themselves in real life. For some reason I sorta forget about those other parts of myself– maybe ‘cause in “real lifefe” we’re not encouraged to explore those aspects?– but this kinda work reminds me that it’s really liberating to be able explore all of ourselves in this field and in a way grateful to find a career that encourages it… Also reminds me I should prob revisit Sande’s class to see what else she has going on.
