Added private messaging (login required) between members; once logged in, members will see # of new messages indicator at the top of each page and be able to write back and forth:

  • private messages are stored on the CastingNotes™ server so they are available from any computer after login
  • click on “write author” link at the bottom of any of any CastingNotes entries to start messaging

We’ll update this page with additional directions on how to send/receive messages as we get more code worked out.


Note: this is in addition to their currently available “Contact” tab on each member’s profile, which sends messages to a member’s e-mail address for off-line reading, etc

done; messages sent between members are stored on server. may also look into auto sending an e-mail notification to the member’s e-mail address when an on-site/private msg is received so they know to check the site for new mail
